Primary type information:
Primary type material: holotype (?) queen. Primary type locality: India: (no further data), “Habitat in India orientali Dom. Daldorff. Mus. Dom. de Sehestedt”. Primary type depository: unknown (apparently lost).
Type notes:
1) No indication of number of specimens is given. 2) Zimsen, 1964: 424, cites 1 specimen in ZMUC, but this may not be type material.
[Note: identity of this taxon is unknowable (material apparently lost, description very vague), so Roger's synonymy may stand. The provisional synonymy of Lasius ruficornis with Lasius nearcticus by Emery, 1925d: 231, is certainly incorrect.]
