Primary type information: Type-material: holotype queen. Type-locality: Canada: Alberta, Jasper Nat. Park, Athabasca River valley, just upriver from Athabasca Falls (52°39’55’’N, 117°52’58’’W, ca 1200 m.), 27.vii.1993, in rock crevices (A. Buschinger & R.D. Schumann). Type-depository: AMNH. Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 11 paratype queens, 16 paratype workers, 10 paratype males. Paratype-locality: same as for holotype. Paratype-depositories: ABPC, AMNH, NHMW, PCAS, SMNH.
