Primary type information: Type-material: holotype queen. Type-locality: Canada: Alberta, Jasper Nat. Park, a few metres above the road from 93A to Mt Edith Cavill parking lot, ca 1500 m., 19.viii.1979, rotten stick (A. Buschinger). Type-depository: none stated (presumably in ABPC). Secondary type information: Paratype-material: 6 paratype queens, 2 paratype workers, 60 paratype males. Paratype-locality: same as for holotype. Paratype-depository: none stated (presumably in ABPC). Type notes: Numbers of specimens are those given by Buschinger after several breeding seasons from the originally collected colony.
