Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Brazil: Rio (de Janeiro), Constancia (no collector’s name). Type-depository: BMNH.
Type notes:
Another specimen in BMNH, previously indicated as “type”, is labelled “Ega. 58/6” (= Brazil: Tefé) and therefore is not type-material. A single specimen in OXUM has “pedunculata” on a label but no other data. Both these specimens match the holotype of Neoponera pedunculata.
