Primary type information: Primary type material: 1 syntype worker, 1 syntype queen. Primary type locality: Australia: Adelaide, “56/43” (no collector’s name). Primary type depository: BMNH. Type notes: 1 queen in BMNH confirmed; the worker syntype described by Smith, 1858a cannot be found (Bolton (unpublished notes) 1978).
