Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: Japan: Okinawa Pref., Yaeyama Is, Iriomote-jima, 7.viii.1985 (K. Kinomura). Primary type depository: MNHA. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 3 paratype workers, 1 paratype ergatoid queen. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depository: MNHA.
