Primary type localities: 25 workers, 9 queens, 7 males Algeria: Atlas de Bleda, road to Station de Chréa, 1200 m. (no collector’s name; presumably H. Cagniant), 17 workers, 6 queens, 2 males Algeria: Cédraie de Tenietel-Haad, 1200 m. (Ouarsensis) (no collector’s name), 1 queen Algeria: Atlas de Bleda (no further data), 1 queen Algeria: Djebel Chelia (Aurès) (no further data). Primary type depository: none stated in the publication, 2 are deposited in HCPC, the others NHMB. Type notes: 1) Confusingly, 25 workers, 9 queens and 7 males are referred to as syntypes, while 17 workers, 8 queens and 2 males are referred to as paratypes; but no holotype is designated. All specimens are regarded as syntypes here. 2) Báthori et al., 2024: 14, confirm 2 workers in HCPC.
