Type-material: 42 syntype workers, 17 syntype queens, 9 syntype males. Type-localities: 25 workers, 9 queens, 7 males Algeria: Atlas de Bleda, road to Station de Chréa, 1200 m. (no collector’s name; presumably H. Cagniant), 17 workers, 6 queens, 2 males Algeria: Cédraie de Tenietel-Haad, 1200 m. (Ouarsensis) (no collector’s name), 1 queen Algeria: Atlas de Bleda (no further data), 1 queen Algeria: Djebel Chelia (Aurès) (no further data). Type-depository: none stated, presumably HCPC, MNHN.
Type notes:
Confusingly, 25 workers, 9 queens and 7 males are referred to as syntypes, while 17 workers, 8 queens and 2 males are referred to as paratypes; but no holotype is designated. All specimens are regarded as syntypes here.
