Primary type locality: 1 worker, 8 queens, 15 males France: Pyrénées Orientales, Banyuls-sur-Mer, Col du Cerris (or Séris), 1965 (L. Passera), 16 workers, 1 queen Col du Cerris, 17.vi.1969 (H. Cagniant), 9 workers, 1 queen Col du Cerris, 27.v.1970 (H. Cagniant). Primary type depository: not stated (perhaps HCPC, MNHN).

However, in the figure captions and elsewhere, Kutter refers the name kutteri to “Cagniant, in litt.”, and does not nominate type-material. Hence Kutter’s reference is an unavailable name, and the species is properly attributed to Cagniant.]
