Leptothorax (Leptothorax) arimensis Azuma, 1977a: 114 (w.q.) JAPAN. Palearctic.

Primary type information: Type-material: holotype worker. Type-locality: Japan: Hyogo Pref., Arima, “Onsen” shrine, 2.vi.1947 (M. Azuma). Type-depository: unknown (“in the author’s collection”). Secondary type information: Paratype-material: paratype workers (number not stated), 1 paratype queen. Paratype-depository: unknown (“in the author’s collection”). Type notes: The name Temnothorax arimensis was first published by Azuma, 1953: 3: 13 syntype workers, Japan: Arima, nr Kobi (apparently dated 3.vii.1949) (M. Azuma). Onoyama, 1980a: 194, pointed out that the journal in which the description appeared was a school magazine (“Warera”), not an official publication.
