Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype worker (by designation of Csősz et al., 2014: 85). Primary type locality: lectotype France: Montpelier (J.-L. Lichtenstein). Primary type depository: ISNB. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 8 paralectotype workers. Secondary type locality: 3 paralectotype workers with same data as lectotype, 5 paralectotype workers France: Menton (de Dalmas). Secondary type depository: ISNB. Type notes: 1) Csősz et al., 2014 note that the lectotype is labelled “Schulz & Verhaag, 1999”, but the latter do not appear to have published the designation. 2) Other original syntype localities (all France) include workers, queens and at least 1 male from: Banyuls (A. Grouvelle), Marseille (A. Grouvelle), and Cannes (de Dalmas).
