Primary type information: Type-material: lectotype worker (by designation of Csősz et al., 2015: 28). Type-locality: Italy: Portici, nr Naples (C. Emery?). Type-depository: MSNG. Type-specimen: CASENT0904761 (lectotype). Type notes: Other original worker and queen syntypes probably present in MSNG.
