Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype worker (by designation of Da Silva et al., 2022: 116). Primary type locality: lectotype Virgin Is: St Thomas I. (Eggers). Primary type specimen: ANTWEB CASENT0904936. Primary type depository: MCSN. (Source: Da Silva et al., 2022: 116.) Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 6 paralectotype workers. Secondary type locality: same as for lectotype. Secondary type depositories: MCSN, MZSP, NHMW, ZMHB. Secondary type specimens: MZSP78535, NHMW-HYM4953, NHMW-HYM4954, GBIF-D/FoCol 2160. Type notes: 1) The original description mentions syntype queens (number not stated), which are not listed as paralectotypes by Da Silva et al., 2022: 116. 2) Da Silva et al., 2022: 116 also mistakenly list the type locality as being Brazil: St. Thomas, whereas the original description lists it as "Isola de S. Tomasso" (= Virgin Is (St Thomas I.)). 3) Bolton also lists USNM as a paralectotype depository (not mentioned by Da Silva et al., 2022: 116).
