Primary type locality: lectotype Pakistan: Karakorum, Shigar, 2200 m., 23.viii.1929 Sped. Ital. Duco di Spoleto. Primary type depository: MSNM. Type notes: Originally a second worker syntype was also present: Karakorum, Alchori, 2300 m., 1929; this specimen is presumably now lost (not found by Radchenko & Elmes, 2001b: 249).
