Myrmica sinica Wu & Wang, 1995a: 94, 197, figs. 137, 145, 146 (w.q.) CHINA (Shandong). Palearctic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: China: Shandong Prov., Yantai City (Y. Huo). Primary type depository: CAFB. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 27 paratype workers, 2 paratype queens. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depository: CAFB.

Status as species: Wei et al., 2001: 562 (in key).
Junior synonym of Myrmica excelsa: Radchenko et al., 2008: 783; Radchenko & Elmes, 2010: 131; Chen et al., 2016: 89.
