Primary type information: Primary type material: holotype worker. Primary type locality: China: Tibet, Gautsa, 13000 ft, 5.iv.1924 (R.W.G. Hingston). Primary type depository: BMNH. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 7 paratype workers. Secondary type locality: same as for holotype. Secondary type depository: BMNH. Type notes: Donisthorpe also mentions 10 workers (BMNH): India: Sikkim, Khamba Jong, 15000-16000 ft, 15-30.vii.1903, Tibet Expd. 1903; these are not regarded as paratypes by Radchenko & Elmes, 2001b: 259, Radchenko & Elmes, 2010: 176.
