Primary type locality: lectotype Indonesia: Sumatra, Tandjong Slamat, 1911-12 (H. von Buttel-Reepen) (by restriction of Eguchi, 2001a: 6). Primary type depository: MHNG. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 2 paralectotype major workers, 3 paralectotype minor workers. Secondary type locality: same as for lectotype. Secondary type depository: MHNG. Type notes: Other original syntype localities: Indonesia: Java, Buitenzorg (= Bogor), and Java, Tjiogrek, 1911-12 (H. von Buttel-Reepen), Malaysia: Malacca, Maxwell’s Hill, nr Taiping, 1911-12 (H. von Buttel-Reepen). Eguchi et al., 2007: 274, later cited these specimens as paralectotypes.
