Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 7 paralectotype queens. Secondary type locality: 6 paralectotype queens with same data as lectotype, 1 paralectotype queen with same data as lectotype but 31.viii.1920, no. 721. Secondary type depository: MCZC. Type notes: 1) Original description (if it can be called that) merely mentions the castes in passing. 2) Details of type material are as provided by Wilson, 1984b: 323. 3) Both Wilson, 1984b: 325, and Wilson, 2003a: 456, seem unsure if the workers collected with the type-series queens are actually conspecific.
