Primary type information: Type-material: syntype workers (numbers not stated). Type-locality: U.S.A.: Texas (S.B. Buckley). Type-depository: unknown (no type-material known to exist). Type notes: Buckley says these ants “are the most numerous of any in Texas”; he mentions the following Texan localities: Washington Co., Long Point (‘Dr Linsecom’s garden’), Bastrip Co., Cedar Creek Post-office, and on Colorado River (on G.C. Caldwell’s property).
