Myrmica (Myrmica) rugulosa subsp. limanica Karavaiev, 1934: 75, fig. 20 (w.m.) Attributed to Arnol’di; date of publication 27.ix.1934. UKRAINE. Palearctic.

Primary type information: Primary type material: 9 syntype workers, 4 syntype males. Primary type locality: 7 workers, 3 males Ukraine: Donets Estuary, Kharkov Dist., Zmiev, 9.ix.1931, no. 5478 (K.V. Arnol’di), 2 workers, 1 male with same data but ix.1934, no. 5625, (Arnol’di no. 5323) (K.V. Arnol’di). Primary type depositories: SIZK, ZMUM. Type notes: Kostyuk, 1976: 94, cites 7 worker, 2 male syntypes in SIZK.

Radchenko & Elmes, 2010: 138, designate lectotype and paralectotype specimens based on material recorded by Arnol'di, 1934: 162, which shows the same approximate locality as the Karavaiev, 1934 syntype data but is not an exact match as regards collection dates and collection numbers.
