Primary type information: Primary type material: 5 syntype major workers, 2 syntype minor workers. Primary type locality: Mexico: Nayarit, Tepic, x.-xi.1894 (G. Eisen & Vaslit). Primary type depositories: MCZC, USNM. Type notes: 1) Wilson, 2003a: 779, says that type material of this taxon could not be found. 2) A scribbled note on the Pergande publication says types are in USNM, and Wheeler, 1934g: 167 (in text) cites syntypes in MCZC.
