Primary type information: Primary type material: lectotype male (by designation of Radchenko & Elmes, 2010: 260). Primary type locality: lectotype France: Pyrénées Centrales, Cirque d’ Espingo, between 1850-2000 m., viii.1929 (H.G. de Kerville). Primary type depository: NHMB. Secondary type information: Secondary type material: 3 paralectotype workers, 1 paralectotype queen, 2 paralectotype males. Secondary type locality: same as for lectotype. Secondary type depository: NHMB. Type notes: 1) Seifert, 1988b: 27, cites 13 workers, 2 queens, 1 male as syntypes. 2) Radchenko & Elmes, 2010: 260, say that data on the lectotype labels are difficult to interpret but appear to be: M. Espigno, Val d’Oueu, Ht. Garon, 1200 m., 20.viii.1929 (H.G. de Kerville).
