Type notes: Santschi (in Forel, 1922b: 94) implies that this taxon is the same as Crematogaster kneri Mayr, 1862, sensu Arnold, 1920a: 525; the locality for Arnold’s material is South Africa: Orange Free State, Bothaville (H. Brauns).
