Secondary type locality: same as for lectotype. Secondary type depository: AMNH, LACM, MCZC. Type notes: 1) Original queen and males of the Crematogaster atkinsoni helveola type series were incorrectly associated with the worker and were subsequently referred to Crematogaster ashmeadi by Creighton, 1950a: 206, Smith, 1979: 1377. 2) Ward & Blaimer, 2022: 922, cite 3 workers, 1 queen, 5 males as the original syntype series.
