Primary type localities: U.S.A.: Colorado, Manitou, 11.vii.-21.viii.(1903?) (W.M. Wheeler) (invalid restriction of type locality by Wheeler, 1913i: 469; no lectotype designated), U.S.A.: Colorado, between Broadmoor and Cheyenne Cañon (W.M. Wheeler), Colorado, Pike’s Peak (W.M. Wheeler). Primary type depositories: AMNH, LACM, MCZC. Type notes: In the original description Wheeler, 1903g cites 3 localities “in the neighborhood of Manitou”: Red Rock Cañon, Williams Cañon, and Ute Pass.
