Primary type information: Primary type material: neotype worker (by designation of Kohout, 2010: 196). Primary type locality: neotype Papua New Guinea: West Sepik Prov., Pes Mission, 12 km. SW Aitepe, 3°11’S, 142°15’E, <50 m., 3.viii.1984, acc. 84.207 (R.J. Kohout). Primary type depository: ANIC. Type notes: 1) Original data: holotype queen, "Indes orientales": (no further data) (Labillardière), depository unknown (not in MNHN), “type presumed lost” (Taylor & Brown, 1985: 140, Kohout & Taylor, 1990: 519). 2) Other specimens from the same series as the neotype are in ANIC, QMBA.
